Image Sharpening

One thing you should always do when you create a new graphic is to prepare your image (or images). One thing I almost always do when preparing my image is sharpening it. It's easy.. really, and just doing this can bring a lot to your graphic! However, you must not let Photoshop over sharpen your image, otherwise it won't look as good.

This is what I do:
  1. Image should be on its own canvas.
  2. Go to Filter » Sharpen » Sharpen.
  3. Once it's sharpened, determine whether it's not sharp enough, or too sharp.
  4. If it's not sharp enough, repeat second step. If it's too sharp, go to the next step.
  5. Go to Filter » Fade Sharpen. If it doesn't say "Fade Sharpen" that means you applied another filter and will not fade your Sharpen.
  6. With Preview selected, move the slider until it reaches your desired sharpness.
  7. Tada! Done! Now do other stuff to image to make it look better.

Keep in mind...

I provide these things for free and I feel inclined to mention (as all do) to please credit the works you use. Even a small little tiny note will do (as long as it's legible.. seriously. lol.). You may refer to the Terms of Usage for.. well. terms of usage. XD And once again, thanks for dropping by.~
